Many ILA members are involved in teaching and listening training or other activities which involve educating people on listening.

During the annual conventions, ILA usually sponsors a session on teaching activities for all ages and various types of classrooms. Members share the activities in a “Swap-Shop” session and prepare a written description of their teaching idea.
