Join us for a series of programs on Listening to Connect

In preparation for ILA’s 6th annual International Day of Listening on September 16, 2021, join us for a 5-session program.

In a year that has added words to our vocabulary, such as “social distancing,” and where we have had to avoid contact even with family members, our connections with each other have been strained.  Perhaps this is a good time to focus on using listening to promote connecting with others. This year, more than ever, the value of listening to each other is immense making this is a good time to focus on using listening to promote connecting with others. This year's theme of the ILA’s International Day of Listening is “Listen to Connect.” In preparation for the day, we will be offering this mini-course, other events, and information to help us build connections.

We will address ways to focus more on what the speaker needs and adapting your listening behaviors to meet those needs.

5.  Planning an Event for International Day of Listening Monday, August 16, 9:00 a.m.-10:00 a.m. (US Central)

Sheila Bentley, Margarete Imhof, Krishna Naineni. What will you do to celebrate the 2021 International Day of Listening? Presenters will share ideas for potential events with guidelines and tools for helping people have successful conversations that enhance connections.
