Call for Participation & Call for Proposals

The International Listening Association (ILA), founded in 1979, announces its Call for Participation and Call for Proposals for our 46th annual Convention, held at the University of Maryland and the surrounding Washington, DC, area.

This year's theme is "Listening S.O.N.G.," an acronym that represents listening to the whole of life across four key contexts: Self, Others, Nature, and God/Greater Power. Listening S.O.N.G. seeks to intentionally highlight the multi-modal ways of listening.

* E. James Baesler originally developed the idea of "Listening to the S.O.N.G. of Life" where SONG is an acronym representing the listening contexts of self (S), others (O), nature (N), and Goddess-God-the Divine (G).
